Our company is located in San Pietro di Feletto, in the heart of the Conegliano-Valdobbiadene area, the cradle of Prosecco D.O.C.. Our firm was established in 1978 following the time honored family traditions dating back to the early 20's. Today “Il Colle” is synonymous of quality and reference for local producers. Love for Nature and passion for a live product have encouraged “Il Colle” to introduce a lot of technological innovations in the wine-making system, which has resulted in a larger production. All the wine bottled by “Il Colle” comes from hand harvested grapes that are produced in the vineyards of the area. All the vegetative stages of our vineyards are scrupulously monitored by our qualified technicians, from pruning to harvesting. Because of our geographical location, almost all the production is focused on “Prosecco”. The hand harvested grapes are cultivated, selected, vinificated and bottled with care and passion so as to create a complete line of sparkling, white and red wines, as well as “passiti”, “barricati”, schnapps and “distillati”: these excellent Wines remind you of the Beauty of our hills and of our respect for tradition.
From 1978, immersed in the green hills of the province of Treviso the Ceschin family have been producing, pressing, bottling and marketing “Conegliano-Valdobbiadene-doc” prosecco. The wine-growing company “IL COLLE” took root in “San Pietro di Feletto”, in the hills surrounding Conegliano Veneto, in the very heart of the “Conegliano-Valdobbiadene” Prosecco territory between Cortina d’Ampezzo (BL) and Venice: an area that is renowned and appreciated throughout the world for its beauty, its temperate climate and naturally for its whole-hearted vocation for wine production. Winding its way through a pulsating scenic back-drop is a trail of love, art and the pleasures of wine. This zone is well appreciated throughout the world for its beauty, its climate and naturally for its passion for winemaking. This is the oenological district of the Veneto Region a candidate to become a Unesco world heritage area. The company “Il Colle” have distinguished themselves for their entrepreneurial seriousness and the top quality level of the wine produced. All the vegetative stages in the vineyards, from pruning to grape harvesting, are closely followed by the company’s own technicians, thus guaranteeing as always a wholesome and healthy product that has excellent, top-quality characteristics. Not an industrial product, but the result of extraordinary passion! In 2008, while the company “IL COLLE” were celebrating their 30th anniversary, the consortium for the safe guarding of “Conegliano-Valdobbiadene-doc” Prosecco, have set in motion the process, which will see the grading of prosecco, changed from DOC (Controlled denomination of origin) to DOCG (Controlled denomination of geographical origin).
The Ceschin family has been producing and distributing the Prosecco DOC of Conegliano Valdobbiadene for 30 years.
