LIQUORE DI MARZEMINO

PASSITO

Type of Product:
Liqueur.
Production Method:
It is obtained mostly from the wine Marzemino, whose grapes are left to dry on racks for about 4 months (in particular place where silkworms where reared). Primo is produced with 40% of this wine and the addition of alcohol, natural aromas and grape sugars.
Alcohol content:
25%
Characteristics:
Moderately alcoholic Elixir (20% of sugars).
Colour:
Brilliant ruby red.
Bouquet:
The perfume reminds of Marzemino Passito scents: cherry, black cherry, strawberry, raspberry, plum, berries and almond.
Taste:
Intense and sweet. Even its taste reminds the above mentioned fruits.
Complements:
Perfect after meals as a digestive. It goes superbly with biscuits, chocolate and vanilla or cream ice-cream.
Service:
It should be served very cold (but not frozen) and be kept in cold storage. We suggest to drink it in little glasses of chocolate.
Curiosity:
The name “Primo” means “First” and it come from many reasons: it is the first liqueur produced with Marzemino passito, it is the first liqueur of “Il Colle” and for the first time is the result of the inspiration of Francesco Ceschin, son of the owner Fabio Ceschin, who was eighteen years old at that time. Last but not least, its label is the first made by the contemporary artist and sculptor Roberto Piaia.
